XL Catlin’s insurance operations has appointed Nicola Harris to Dubai-based Head of Energy, EMEA, to head up the provision and design of insurance solutions for the Energy sector across EMEA, while leading a team of underwriters based in Dubai, Paris, Amsterdam and Madrid.

Having worked in the UK, in Africa and in the Middle East, her knowledge of the challenges our clients are facing is extensive. She is the right person to lead our EMEA team.”
Harris joins XL Catlin from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), a division of global insurer Allianz, where she was Head of Energy & Marine, based in Dubai since 2014.
Prior to that, she held a number of roles at broker Marsh in London and then Cape Town, where she was appointed Regional Leader for Power & Energy in 2011.
