AXA XL Insurance is to offer new environmental risk services for companies based in France via a partnership with Cedre, an organisation that specialises in helping governments and companies mitigate the impact of ecological incidents.
The collaboration with Cedre (Centre de Documentation de Recherche et d’experimentations sur les pollutions accidentelles des eaux) will allow AXA XL to provide companies that have environmental risk policies with access to tailored recommendations through a 24/7 hotline when an incident occurs.
“French companies are increasingly aware of their need to reduce their exposure to environmental risks,” said Ludovic Ruiller, Underwriting Manager, Environmental for France & Benelux at XL Catlin, now part of AXA XL.
“No organisation is, however, immune from accidental pollutions – and when they occur, the right actions need to be taken, fast,” Ruiller continued. “This crisis management hotline will help our clients identify what those actions should be.”
Francois-Xavier d’Huart, Head of Client & Broker Management in France, also commented: “Cedre is our partner of choice, recognised for its expertise and whose values we share. This collaboration allows us to further differentiate our offering on the environmental insurance market.”
