Bermuda-based reinsurance company PartnerRe has added Hermann Pohlchristoph to its Board of Directors.
Pohlchristoph was most recently at Munich Re as a Member of the Board of Management from 2017 to 2020 and as CFO Reinsurance, Munich Re from 2006 to 2017.
Prior to that, he served as Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting, Munich Re for two years.
With his appointment, the Board will now comprise five directors, of which three will be independent.
His appointment will take place effective immediately.
Commenting on the appointment, PartnerRe Board Chairman, Brian Dowd said: “On behalf of the Board, Jacques Bonneau and I would like to welcome Hermann.”
“His wealth of experience in the re/insurance industry spans 28 years and he brings a breadth of professional expertise that will further strengthen the Board’s depth of talent,” Dowd added.
