French reinsurance firm CCR Re has announced three new appointments to its Board of Directors, Patrick Cerceau, Charles Levi and Antoine Mantel.
The board of CCR Re also consists of Pierre Blayau, a representative of CCR, Bertrand Labilloy, the reinsurers Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and another director and member of staff is also soon to be announced.
CCR Re launched at the start of January, as a reinsurance focused subsidiary of French state-backed Caisse Centrale de Reassurance (CCR). The reinsurer began underwriting for the January renewals with a loss portfolio transfer reinsurance arrangement with its parent.
Bertrand Labilloy commented on the new board appointments; “We are pleased to welcome Messrs. Cerceau, Levi and Mantel to the Board. The confidence, expertise and international experience that these three prominent professionals will bring to CCR Re will be of vital assistance to its development.”
Patrick Cerceau was previously the General Manager of Europe at reinsurer Mapfre Re, and has previously held senior positions at AXA Re and Converium.
Charles Levi was the life and non-life Managing Director for Actuarial Affairs at PZU Group, a leading Polish insurance group, and previously worked in reinsurance at Odyssey Re, and broker Guy Carpenter.
Antoine Mantel is the current General Inspectorate of Finance at the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance and also a director at CCR. Before that he led the French insurance supervisory authority, the Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et des Mutuelles.
