BMS Re, the specialty reinsurance arm of global broker BMS Group, has announced the appointment of Russell McGuire as Head of Origination.
McGuire joins BMS Re following almost two decades at Swiss Re, during which time he rose to the position of Managing Director and Client Executive in its Globals Business Practice.
As Head of Origination at BMS Re, McGuire will lead a team dedicated to identifying and establishing new client relationships, building on the recent growth of the reinsurance division, both in the US and globally. He will also sit on the Executive Committee and will be based in New York.
According to BMS, the appointment reinforces its ambition to further build on the growth and scale of the firm’s global reinsurance division, and its commitment to nurturing and empowering talent in a positive and collaborative work environment.
