Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of independent insurance broker Lockton, has appointed Daryl Polenz as a Senior Broker, based in Kansas City.
Polenz has over three decades of extensive experience in the property & casualty (P&C) reinsurance space, of which he spent ten years at industry giant Swiss Re.
Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President of insurance broker BMS Group for over a year, where he oversaw the origination of P&C treaty reinsurance brokerage relationships.
Earlier in his career, Polenz joined Swiss Re in 2013 as Vice President, Account Executive, based in New York. In the role, he managed direct treaty reinsurance for P&C insurers, business development, client relationships, and transaction execution.
In May 2019, he was promoted to Senior Vice President – Head of Direct Sales for P&C treaty reinsurance for the regional & national division of the US Americas region.
Previously, Polenz also served at First Empire Securities, Inc. as Vice President of Insurance Client Relations, Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC as Managing Director – National Practice Leader, Financial Services, and at Business Risk Technologies, Inc. as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.
He started his career at Fox-Pitt, Kelton Inc. as a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department.
