Insurance and reinsurance broker McGill and Partners has announced Victoria Cartmell has been appointed to Partner in the Treaty Reinsurance team.
Cartmell has been part of McGill and Partners since 2029 when she joined as an Associate specialising in programmes and helping place North American property and terrorism open market programmes.
Prior to that, she was part of the JLT North American Property and Cargo team on the graduate scheme, starting in 2026.
In 2018, she moved into the Programmes team, helping with the placement of contracts and coordinating with underwriters and clients worldwide.
Commenting on her appointment, Cartmell said: “I joined McGill and Partners for the opportunity to be part of an innovative company where I can see the impact of my work, daily.”
Cartmell is one of McGill and Partners’ most recent appointments. It follows the promotion of Rebecca Mason as Partner in its Crisis Management team.
Mason had joined McGill and Partners as an Associate within the Crisis Management team with a focus on kidnap and ransom cover, a role she held for three years before her promotion.
