Specialist global insurer Hiscox has appointed Chris Loake as the Group’s Chief Information Officer.
In the new role, Hiscox suggests that Loake will drive the Group’s global technology strategy enabling its overall business ambition to “drive technical excellence and deliver superb service to customers.”
He will be based in London and report to Stéphane Flaquet, Group Chief Operations and Technology Officer.
Loake joins Hiscox from C. Hoare & Co, where he was Chief Technology and Operations Officer with responsibility for implementing critical changes in the bank’s digital infrastructure.
Collectively, he holds over two decades of technology experience and has led teams across a wide range of organisations including Close Brothers and Experian.
Commenting on the new role, Loake said, “I look forward to joining at such an exciting time, as Hiscox uses technology as a source of competitive advantage, to evolve and improve the customer experience.”
Stéphane Flaquet added, “I’m looking forward to working with Chris when he joins later in the year. We will benefit from his proven track record of strategic delivery and leadership skills.
“Chris will lead an already strong team of 350 IT professionals, delivering innovative solutions for our customers and ensuring we make the most of the opportunities ahead.”
