Marsh, an insurance broker, risk advisor, and business of Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Guy Bessis as Chairman of Energy & Power for Marsh India, Middle East, and Africa.
Bessis began his insurance career as an underwriter with Royal Insurance in Paris before joining Sedgwick in London in 1982, where he specialised in Onshore Energy.
After more than 30 years in the London market, he moved to Dubai to support the growth of Marsh’s Energy & Power portfolios across the MEA region.
Most recently, he served as Global Head of Sales for Marsh Energy & Power, with responsibility for sales and business development on a global basis.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Marsh said, “Guy brings extensive experience and proven leadership to this role and will be instrumental in driving innovation and growth across these regions.”
