Specialist insurer Hiscox has announced the appointment of Matthew Budd as Group Head of Technical Claims, a newly created role.<\/p>\n

\"hiscox-logo\"Based in London, Budd will be responsible for overseeing the Group\u2019s technical claims operations as the business continues to fulfil its growth ambitions and deliver innovative solutions to customers.<\/p>\n

An executive with 36 years of experience in claims and across multiple classes of business, is joining Hiscox from AIG, where he led the group\u2019s aerospace claims.<\/p>\n

His career also includes various roles at Talbot Underwriting, including Head of Claims and Head of Wordings and Contracts and Delegated Authorities. Prior to joining Talbot, he was the Aviation Claims Manager at XL London Market.<\/p>\n

In his new position, he will be reporting to Steve Parry, Group Claims Director, who commented: \u201cMatthew will be a great addition to our team, thanks to his vast global experience and deep expertise in claims \u2013 including complex and high-value claims across various lines of business.<\/p>
