Alexandra Weigel has joined Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, as head of multinational, Europe, a Zurich-based role.<\/p>\n

\"\"In her new role, Weigel will leverage her over 30 years of industry experience to support the expansion of LSM\u2019s multinational programme capabilities in Europe.<\/p>\n

The executive\u2019s appointment comes as LSM strengthens its commitment to the European market , where it currently operates in seven countries and provides products across more than 20 lines of business.<\/p>\n

Weigel\u2019s role will be integral to the company\u2019s \u201cInvest in Europe 2030\u201d strategy, LSM stated, which aims to enhance its multinational programme (MNP) offering.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the strategy aims to drive digitisation and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance underwriting quality and claims service, as well as expand LSM\u2019s geographic footprint and launch a range of specialised products.<\/p>

As head of multinational, Weigel will also collaborate closely with LSM\u2019s distribution, underwriting, operations, and claims teams to drive the execution of the multinational strategy and support the company\u2019s ambitious growth plans.<\/p>\n

Pierre Edouard-Fraigneau, President, Liberty International Insurance Europe, said: \u201cWe are delighted that Alexandra has joined Liberty. Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment as we widen the scope of our multinational offering across our key products in Europe.<\/p>\n
