Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has appointed Roshan Perera as Managing Director, Head of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, and Richard Jones as Chairman, APAC.<\/p>\n

\"gallagherPerera has over 25 years of industry experience across the APAC region. Most recently, he served as the leader of Gallagher Re\u2019s APAC Strategic Solutions team. In this role,\u00a0Perera worked closely with the broker\u2019s wider leadership team to develop and implement the regional sales framework.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jones has almost four decades of reinsurance broking experience and most recently served as Chairman of South East Asia, Taiwan and Korea of Gallagher Re.<\/p>\n

Before that, Jones was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reinsurance Asia for Aon. He has worked closely with Perera to execute Gallagher Re\u2019s growth strategy in APAC.<\/p>\n

Dirk Spenner, International CEO, Gallagher Re, commented, “Roshan\u2019s strategic vision and commitment to collaborative leadership, coupled with Richard\u2019s deep industry experience and insight, make them an excellent fit for these roles.”<\/p>

With these appointments, Mark O\u2019Brien, the former Head of APAC, will be leaving Gallagher Re to pursue new challenges outside of broking.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mark Morley, the former Chairman of APAC and Deputy Chairman of International, is scheduled to retire.<\/p>\n

Spenner added, “Both Mark Morley and Mark O\u2019Brien have been instrumental in cultivating a culture of collaboration and shared purpose, driving the region\u2019s success and enhancing our capabilities.<\/p>\n
