Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has received regulatory approval to establish a branch office in India\u2019s Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).<\/p>\n

\"PartnerReThe new branch is part of PartnerRe\u2019s Asia Pacific reinsurance business, led by James Beedle, CEO of PartnerRe Asia Pte. Ltd. and CEO P&C APAC.<\/p>\n

PartnerRe said the expansion reinforces its long-term commitment to the Indian market and the broader region.<\/p>\n

The GIFT City branch will support Indian clients by enhancing responsiveness, ensuring regulatory alignment, and simplifying business operations, while providing the depth of PartnerRe\u2019s global underwriting expertise and capital strength locally.<\/p>\n

PartnerRe is the latest company to receive approval to establish a branch in GIFT City. Earlier this month, Santam was granted a licence to set up a reinsurance branch there<\/a>.
